Terms of Service

Welcome to WebTai. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of WebTai (the “Service”), available at webtai.app and as a mobile app. By using WebTai, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who Can Use WebTai

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use WebTai. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your Account

You sign in using Google or Facebook. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account.

3. Your Content

• You own your content. The posts (“takes”), replies, and other content you create remain yours.
• License to operate. By posting on WebTai, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content others have already shared or copies retained briefly in backups.
• Responsibility. You are solely responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to post it.

4. Acceptable Use

To keep WebTai a respectful space for the Tai/Shan community, you agree not to:

• Post unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory content.
• Post spam, scams, malware, or misleading content.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Post sexually explicit content involving minors, or other content prohibited by law.
• Harvest data, abuse, overload, or attempt to break the security of the Service.
• Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Content Moderation

We reserve the right (but are not obligated) to review, remove, or restrict any content or account that we believe violates these Terms or harms the community, at our discretion and without prior notice.

6. Intellectual Property

The WebTai name, logo, design, and software are owned by WebTai and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without permission. The “WebTai” wordmark and brand may not be used to imply endorsement.

7. Third-Party Services

WebTai relies on Google (Sign-In, Firebase) and Cloudflare. Your use of those services through WebTai is also subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

WebTai is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that content posted by users is accurate or reliable.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WebTai and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

10. Termination

You may stop using WebTai and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective date” above. Continued use of WebTai after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
